Ingredients:
- 4 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons grated Gruyere cheese
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh chives for garnish
Instructions:
Turn on your oven and heat it up to 375F 190C
Put one tablespoon of butter in a small oven-safe dish
Then, put the dish in a hot oven for three to four minutes, or until the butter melts and foams
Take the dish out of the oven and crack the eggs into it very carefully, making sure the yolks stay whole
Cover the eggs with heavy cream, then add both kinds of cheese on top
Use the last tablespoon of butter to make dots around the dish
Add salt and black pepper to taste
Place the dish back in the oven and bake until the egg whites are set but the yolks are still runny
For a slightly runny yolk, bake for 10 to 12 minutes
For a firmer yolk, bake for longer
Take it out of the oven, add chopped chives on top, and serve right away
Have fun with your tasty baked French eggs
